Running is no longer only for die-hards but for the full-hearted

"If you look back at the late ’70s it was all about your finishing time
in a marathon,” Mr. Sullivan said. “But now running is about being fit,
feeling good and empowered, and raising money for a cause.”

Running is no longer for the animals but for the full-hearted, dogooders at any pace. This NYTimes article focuses on Brooks' take on current running trends--however working in the industry with "Sherpas who guide you through the sport of running,” even if you’re “just a jolly jogger,” I agree hole-heartedly with the articles opinion that the purpose and desire to run has drastically changed. That brings a smile to my face because it now includes anyone and everyone who wants to feel great about what they are doing with their life. Read the NYTimes article HERE then lace up!
