I have had acid reflux also known as heartburn and being an athlete it's a pain in the ass...well chest. It's a very unpleasant feeling and is easily made worse when you giggle your body around during exercise. Running in particular has been a problem. I have eating strategies which work most of the time these days--a banana two hours before a workout, a cup of coffee is ok, my pre or post workout energy drink is fine (apple cider vinegar, aloe juice, and a nuun electrolyte tablet), but in general nothing else!!! Fuel up after.
