Change of pace

While I already have a gym because I teach spin at LA Fitness, I have no clue how to properly use the machines and which ones. So like I mentioned in a previous post, it's time for me to mix up my routine, change the pace of my workouts from fast 'n furious cardio to controlled, lean, strengthening tone work.

I joined a tiny studio called EVOLVE Fitness. Check it out HERE. I took one free class there yesterday morning and loved it. The class kicked my butt. It was a full body plyometrics workout. The instructor comment that I could do leg work all day (it's true, these thighs are trees) but I really struggled with my core and upper body. I could feel the impact minutes after walking out the door. So while I hate to spend money on workouts because you can do them at home, in a park, etc., it's important to learn how and what to do for your body. In addition, you need to learn how to do it properly so that you do not injure yourself.

The classes are only 8 people (mine was early morning so there were 4 of us) which means you get almost 1 on 1 attention when you need it. And, they'll keep you accountable!

Anyone in San Diego is welcome to join me for a free week of classes. They offer something I love--Spin combination classes. 30-40 minutes of spin (I need to see how a few other instructors teach anyway) then intervals of upper body and ab resistance after or in between. That's a great combination! I plan to take 3-4 classes per week in addition to my own spin classes and a few days of running =) I know my body will tone up and morph for the better!

I'm excited to feel/see results!
