Hibiscus Tea...pretty...pretty good for you!

I bought some hibiscus tea yesterday and enjoyed a flowery sweet cup last night as my dessert. As with everything I put in my body I'm curious as to what good (or bad?) it's doing. Here's how drinking hibiscus flower tea can help you....
The tea is equally effective whether it is consumed hot or cold and is recommended for any age.

Blood Pressure
Studies have shown hibiscus tea to be beneficial in lowering blood pressure and may control cholesterol. Hibiscus tea is also a mild diuretic, which increases urination and reduces the blood volume, causing the blood pressure to reduce.
Weight Loss
Hibiscus tea contains an enzyme inhibitor which blocks the production of amylase. Amylase is an enzyme that breaks down complex sugars and starches. Drinking a cup of hibiscus tea after meals will reduce the absorption of dietary carbohydrates and reduce fat storage.
