Going Au Natural and Organic again

Somehow I have lost sight of the reason I was veggie for so long. My body craves meat now and I listen to it but am not doing it any good by not paying attention to where my meat comes from. At first when I decided to come off my veggie parade I was only eating free-range, organic, and grass-fed. I've become so lax that I'm putting un-happy meat in me and I know that's a big no bueno. I watched Food Inc. last night--a documentary based on Michael Pollan's The Omnivore's Dilemma (one of my favorite books) and was reinvigorated to be choosey about my meat eating habits. How could I have come so far from what 13 years of vegetarianism instilled in me? No wonder my gut hasn't been smiling. So, today on my day off I'm headed to Iowa Meat Farms and Home Grown Meats to check out their selection. First doing a little research on their philosophy. I wish I lived near PolyFace Farms in Virginia (the local, happy happy lands and animals featured in the book and film) but will scout out any options I have here in San Diego. Happy organic hunting =)
