This unique event, set for Wednesday, September 29, 2010, is the largest national health promotion day for women. Similar in concept to the successful National Senior Health & Fitness Day, over 100,000 women of all ages will participate in events at more than 1,400 local registered event sites throughout the U.S. — on the same day. The event's goal: to promote the importance of health
awareness and regular physical activity for women of all ages.
I'm all about it! Obviously I believe that health and fitness need to be part of your everyday lifestyle but why not have a specific day (today) devoted to thinking about and practicing the benefits? Great idea! Unfortunately it's not publicized better but I'm making it known to you...so, how will you celebrate? Here are some ideas:
-Take a new fitness class at the gym to spice up your routine
-Go vegetarian for a day
-Call a girlfriend and invite her for a long (3-5mi) walk and chat session
-Devote yourself to a yoga session
-Take a nap
-Make sure to eat a well balanced diet ALLLLL DAY LONG!!!
-Get your Vit. D --> get out in the sun!
-Drink water; make your day's goal to stay hydrated.
Whatever it may be today, meet some kind of personal health and/or fitness goal for yourself. You're the one that matters so make sure it comes from within YOU! EMPOWER YOURSELVES WONDERFUL WOMEN!!
