Most people I know love chocolate, and would love to start our day with it! Let's put a healthy aspect on it though...here's a tried and tested recipe for a healthful chocolate morning faux-milkshake:
To a blender add:
1 banana (this provides the creaminess w/o the ice cream)
1 cup milk (soy, almond, non-fat, rice--whatever you like)
1 tbsp. flax seed oil (adds calories and tons of health benefits!)
2 tbsp. vanilla extract
1 scoop chocolate or vanilla whey protein
1 EXTRA LARGE cup of cocoa powder
1 cup ice
Blend away and enjoy a chocolatey breakfast that'll keep you satisfied 'til lunch!
