Product Review--ORIGINS moisturizers

Forever bad skin/acne has plagued me. It was only a year ago (with my boyfriend's motivation) that I decided enough was enough!! I had tried antibiotics, birth controls, acupuncture, creams, diet, and anything else recommended. So finally at 25 I went on acutane...crazy shit! I was only on it a total of 4 months because it messed up my liver. During that time though it made my skin uber dry--peely and nasty. I sought out a moisturizer to soothe my red flaky skin and found it at ORIGINS.
Now off of acutane and maintaining beautiful clear skin, I have begun using other Origin's products and fallen in love with them. Each product I have tried works so well and is non-greasy or clogging. Visit the origins website for a full product review.

Product #1: Drink Up!
Use: Intensive night-time moisturize used twice a week.
Results: This is the hydration my face needed while on acutane! Now I use it for maintenance twice a week or after a facial. It leaves my skin plump and soft. Ps. it smells like a tropical getaway--lovely to fall asleep with!

Product #2: Starting Over (age defying cream with Mimosa)
Use: You can use it AM and PM but I use it at night (when not using Drink Up!).
Results: It keeps my skin rejuvenating itself and very soft. I like that it's like a whipped butter so I don't feel clogged when I wake up. I noticed a lifting difference in my skin within two days of using it. My skin felt brighter, younger, and looked more balanced (no splotches).
*If you're older than I am (35+ I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Youthtopia--they gave me a sample of this and I felt like I got a facelift every time I used it! But they said I'm young so I don't need this regularly).

Product #3: A Perfect World SPF 25
I was excited to find this for my daily AM moisturizer--I really wanted something with SPF in it. This did the trick! I enjoyed this product but ultimately ended up trading it in for the next in my review, VitaZing...

Product #4: VitaZing Moisturizer
I was given a sample of this (it was brand new) and found that I love the lightness! It really did give my face a little  zing and brightness while still offering SPF sun protection. Wahoo! I swapped A Perfect World for this moisturizer and have been using it about a week now...it's just a little bit lighter weight and less greasy on my skin than the other.

*I have tried a few more products from Origins that I will review another time. This is all for the face moisturizers though. Go get some!

  1. Did you do acupuncture somewhere else as well? Cause the one treatment you had at our place wouldn't do anything for anyone (acu must be done in series generally)... Just curious! Not to say it would have necessarily been THE cure anyway. Glad you like Origins! I used their white tea moisturizer for awhile, but eventually got one from my aesthetician that I like better.
